Annabel Trends Celebrates Australian Made Week with Locally Crafted Collections Supporting Australian Jobs

As Australians increasingly look to support local businesses and buy with purpose, Annabel Trends is proudly shining a spotlight on its Australian Made ranges during Australian Made Week, running from 18–24 May 2026.
For nearly 60 years, Annabel Trends has built a reputation for joyful gifting, colourful homewares, and thoughtfully designed products that brighten everyday life. Behind many of these products is something even more meaningful — local craftsmanship and Australian manufacturing.
Handmade from the company’s Burleigh Heads headquarters on the Gold Coast, the Australian Made collection features a growing range of cotton and linen products including tablecloths, napkins, aprons, tea towels, eye pillows, shower caps, and gifting accessories.
“At Annabel Trends, Australian Made is more than a label — it’s a commitment to supporting local jobs, local creativity, and keeping manufacturing skills alive here in Australia,” General Manager, Sally Dunn said.
Supporting Australian Jobs and Manufacturing
Australian Made Week is a national campaign encouraging Australians to look for the iconic green and gold kangaroo logo and choose products made locally. Research commissioned by the Australian Made Campaign found that even a small increase in spending on Australian Made products could generate billions for the Australian economy and create thousands of jobs.
The campaign highlights the growing importance of strengthening local industries, reducing reliance on imports, and supporting Australian workers and communities.
For Annabel Trends, producing ranges locally means supporting skilled sewing and production roles on the Gold Coast while also enabling smaller-run collections, faster innovation, and greater quality control.
“Our Australian Made ranges allow us to celebrate creativity while directly supporting local employment and Australian manufacturing capability,” the brand shared.
Celebrating Heritage Through Design
This year’s Australian Made Week celebrations also coincide with the launch of Annie’s Apples — a nostalgic new print inspired by Annabel Trends founder Annie and the bold optimism of 1960s Australian design.
Featuring playful green apples layered over a gingham-style pattern, the collection pays tribute to the company’s heritage while embracing modern gifting and home styling trends.
The release reflects the heart of the Annabel Trends brand: bright, joyful, Australian-designed products created to bring happiness to everyday moments.
Why Australian Made Matters
According to the Australian Made Campaign, 99% of Australians recognise the Australian Made logo, with increasing numbers actively seeking out locally made products to support jobs, communities, and the national economy.
Australian Made Chief Executive Ben Lazzaro recently said that “supporting local has never been more important,” with Australian Made Week encouraging both consumers and businesses to “back the home team.”
For Annabel Trends, participating in Australian Made Week is about celebrating the people behind the products — from local designers and makers to the retailers and customers who continue to support Australian creativity and craftsmanship.
Consumers can explore the full Australian Made range online and look for participating stockists throughout Australian Made Week.
